You love riding your horse. The trail rides. The lessons where something finally clicks. The shows. All of it.

But you also love the time in between. Hanging out with your horse after a ride. Taking them for a walk. Standing at the fence while they graze. Giving scratches or simply being together without needing to accomplish anything.

These are the moments that stay with you and you wish you knew how to make more of them.

Life is busy.

And sometimes, even at the barn—the place you go to slow down—you find yourself moving from one thing to the next. Maybe you have twenty minutes after your ride. Maybe you have a whole Saturday. Maybe you simply want to make the most of whatever time you have with your horse.

You want to be present.
You want to connect.

You want to enjoy those quieter moments together. And sometimes, you just want a few simple ideas for what you can do together.

Something that helps your horse release a little tension. Something that gives you another way to connect. Something you can do for five minutes or settle into for much longer.

Because there are so many ways to spend time with a horse. And some of the most meaningful ones don't require a saddle, a lesson, or an agenda.

Hi I'm Sarah,

Creator of Tapping with Horses

I’m a Certified Clinical EFT Practitioner. EFT is nervous system tool that combines modern  psychology and the ancient art of acupressure. That’s the lens I bring to this exploration with horses.

At its heart, this work is about creating the conditions for the body to feel safe enough to let go of stress and tension.
When we give the body time and space, we can trust its intuitive wisdom.

I didn’t set out to create a way to tap with horses.
I was teaching EFT Tapping for equestrians at events like Equine Affaire, the U.S. Pony Club, Warwick Schiller’s Journey On Summit, and talking about it on podcasts, when I kept getting the same question:

“Can you tap on horses?”

So I started experimenting. I began taking the EFT Tapping points and trying them on my own horse, Luna. And I loved watching her respond. Her eyes would soften. She’d lick and chew, sometimes yawn or stretch.

As I dove deeper into acupressure for horses, I discovered that many of the same points I knew through EFT were already being used with horses.

It was simple. It was deeply grounding for both of us. And it gave me another way to spend quiet, connected time with my horse.
It was also something I could easily share with my clients—simple acupressure practices they could explore with their own horses.
There’s something really empowering about learning a few simple ways to work with your horse’s body, while also learning to slow down, observe, and notice what your horse is telling you.

What if creating more ease and regulation for you and your horse — didn't require adding one more thing to your to-do list?

What if you could just weave in simple somatic practices?

  • A few minutes while you’re grooming.

  • A quiet moment in the barn.

  • Something you do together after a ride.

Simple practices you can use anytime you notice stress building in your own body. Tools you can use with your horse, at the barn, at work—or anywhere in your life.

And they’re exactly what you’ll get inside Tapping with Horses

What is Inside Tapping with Horses?

Monthly Class

Each month, we’ll spend 60–75 minutes together on Zoom learning and practicing simple somatic tools you can actually use. Yes, you can grab the recording if you can’t make it live.

Some months, we’ll explore ways to support your horse and their nervous system.

Some months, we’ll focus on your nervous system and building your own capacity. And often, we’ll do both. You’ll leave each session with something you can take straight into your everyday life—or out to the barn.

Every class is recorded and available as a replay through the private podcast, so you can listen when it works for you, even on your commute to the barn.

A private podcast for your questions

Throughout the month, you can submit a question in writing, and I’ll answer it on our private podcast.

Maybe you’re wondering how to use a practice with your horse. Maybe something came up during the month. Or maybe you’re curious about how to use one of the tools in another area of your life.

You ask. I answer.

And you can listen whenever you have a few minutes.

This is the perfect audio companion when you’re cleaning stalls or commuting to the barn.

Resources to help you keep practicing

You’ll also have access to bespoke worksheets when they’re helpful for integrating and applying the monthly class, plus a growing library of regulating resources you can return to anytime.

Your first class is Tapping With Your Horse where you’ll learn tapping points you can use with yourself and your horse, along with simple grounding practices to help you settle and connect with yourself before you begin working with your horse.

Then, as you practice throughout the month, you’ll have the opportunity to send in your questions and get support along the way without another meeting on your calendar.

The quiet moments of connection
can be some of the most magical.

A quiet moment of connection between a child and her horsePhoto: Hannah Marie Photography
“This horse and I have genuinely begun coregulating. I’ve had two days free from work and we’ve been hanging out for hours. (I ride too.) She’s putting her head on top of mine, yawning, rubbing her face on my face, resting her head on me, and just chilling. These past two days, my body seems to be releasing so much tension—and we just keep yawning together! I’ve done tapping and then put my hands on her in different energy points, and we just yawn together.” — Heidi, VT

“Sarah's kindness, compassion, and genuine care made every session feel supportive. I'm more present now. It's still a work in progress, but I have practical tools I can use whenever I need them.”

— GWYN, UK

“Working with you was amazing—I feel like my entire being has shifted. Now I’m confident I have the tools to cope with whatever life throws at me. I am finding joy being with my horses again and feel a sense of peace and lightness in my core.”

— Julie, MA

FAQ

A few questions you might be wondering about...

"What if I can't make the live class?"

That's completely okay. The membership is designed to give you just as much value whether you join us live or not. Every class will be available as a replay and added to our private podcast, so you can listen whenever it works for you—even on your drive to the barn.

"I already have a lot on my plate. Will I have time for this?"

I get it. Most equestrians are juggling a lot. Horses. Work. Family. Maybe more than one job. Life is already full. That's exactly why this membership is designed the way it is.

The primary content each month is one 60–75 minute class that you can watch or listen to when it works for you. And the tools themselves are designed to fit into the nooks and crannies of your day. These are simple nervous system practices and micro habits that can be woven into your life and these small moments compound over time.

"What is Tapping?"

"EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), also called “Tapping,” is an evidence-based somatic tool that combines elements of modern psychology with the ancient art of acupressure.

Using your fingertips to gently tap on specific acupressure points, Clinical EFT can be used to release the root causes of PTSD, trauma, phobias and anxious thinking but can also be used as a simple everyday stress reduction tool.

EFT gives you a simple, accessible way to regulate your emotions and support your nervous system through life's inevitable ups and downs.

These same principles can also be explored with your horse through gentle acupressure and the power of co-regulation - supporting moments of physical and emotional reset together.

"Do I need experience with Tapping, Acupressure, or bodywork?"

No, not at all. This membership is designed to be accessible whether you're completely new to this work or you've worked with me extensively before.

I'll guide you through everything.

"How will the membership be divided between work for me and work with my horse?"

Some months, we'll focus on your nervous system and building your own capacity.

Some months, we'll explore ways to support your horse's nervous system through simple equine tools and practices. And often, we'll do both.

"What if I join and decide it's not for me?"

You can cancel anytime—quickly and easily, with no questions asked. I don't want this to be one of those subscriptions you sign up for and then can't figure out how to cancel. You're welcome to join, come to the class, and decide whether it's something you want to continue with.
